IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Espanol

Januray 12, 2012

Dear Parents,

The extended day program was developed to assist students in preparing for the STAAR assessment. School administration has evaluated student data and has determined that your child is in need of this assistance in the areas of Math and/or Reading. The extended day program will provide your child the opportunity to build skills that he/she can use both for academic and personal endeavors, as well as assisting them in becoming responsible for their own learning.

Your child will be required to participate in the mandatory extended day program during second semester. The designated days are Tuesdays for Math, and/or Thursdays for Reading. Your child will be dismissed at 5:00 p.m., and may be picked up, or take the tutoring bus at that time.

Please contact your child’s teacher with any questions. Thank you very much for your support of what I am confident will be of benefit to your child.

Sincerely,

Carlos Hernandez
Principal

 HURRY, HURRY,
I CAN'T START THE LESSON WITHOUT YOU!

Our school day begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 4:05 p.m.

Thank you for continuing to allow enough time in your planning to provide for a successful beginning of the day for your child. Having them at school consistently early enough to let them go to their lockers and then be in their seats of their first period class by 8:00 in the morning, promotes a positive beginning framework for successful learning at BMS each and every day.  Keep up the good work. It is making a difference! Unfortunately for a few, multiple tardies may result in strong consequences.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU BMS PARENTS!

Please continue to exhibit Dobie Pride when dropping off your student in the mornings. The busiest time is between 7:40 a.m. and 7:50 a.m. Please remember there is no supervision of students outside the building before 7:15 a.m. each morning and after 4:45 p.m.in the afternoon unless they are participating in an after school athletic or enrichment program. Please help us keep your child safe by arranging transportation for them each day.
